First of all, great job asking this question in advance and preparing for your interview!
Using the best web browser technology out there is a productive step towards ensuring that your Live interview goes off without a hitch. Our engineering team works to make sure that we’re using the best technology out there, and in order to do that, we strongly recommend that you ONLY try to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox in order to conduct your interview.
If you don’t have either of these web browsers, please go to either https://www.google.com/chrome/ or https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ in order to download them. It only takes a few seconds and these are undoubtedly the best browsers to use for video, so we cannot recommend them highly enough!
In case you already have Chrome or Firefox…
please ensure that you’re running the latest version. In Chrome, please navigate to the settings panel, shown in the screenshot below. If you see an “Update Google Chrome” button, please click it. If you do not see it, you’re already on the latest version of Chrome:
Follow the arrow above in order to access your Chrome settings.
You can see what an updated Chrome browser looks like in the above screenshot (please note the absence of the “Update Google Chrome” message).
In Firefox, please navigate to the Firefox menu and select “About Firefox” in order to view the “About Firefox” window. The number of the Firefox version you’re using will appear.
Firefox makes it easy -- if you do this and you’re not on the latest version of Firefox, the latest version will automatically begin to download. You can read their overview here. See how to access the menu and the “About Firefox” window in the screenshots below:

Which browsers should you avoid?
Now, we have nothing against the following browsers, but they are generally not the best to use if you want strong video quality and to have everything run smoothly. So, we strongly recommend AGAINST using:
- Internet Explorer
- Microsoft Edge
It’s not their fault, they’re just not that reliable, and we’d hate for you to have to navigate their complexities when we know you’d rather focus on landing a great new job.
We hope that helps, good luck on your interview!
