A CTA (call to action) within a campaign will create a button that candidates will click in their email and navigate to a designated piece of content. This can encourage candidates to check out your careers page, complete an On Demand interview, complete a survey or navigate to your social media profiles. The type of CTA you create will depend on what status a candidate is sitting in.
While you’re editing a campaign’s email content, you’ll notice a button at the top of your editing screen called CTA.
Click the CTA button to open the CTA builder window (circled above).
You’ll first select the link type you’re using.
- A manual link type is any link you’d copy from a browser window (company careers page, Twitter site, YouTube channel, etc.).
- An On-Demand link type is a link our system will create for a candidate to complete a video interview.
- A survey link type will create a link to encourage candidates to participate in a candidate satisfaction survey.
You do not need to copy and paste or create a link for On Demand or Survey link types.
If you’re using a Manual link type, paste or type your link into the Link field. Otherwise, if you’re using an On-Demand or Survey link type, leave the link field alone after a tag is automatically populated.
You can update the color of the button using any company color hex in the Color field.
Finally, the Label indicates what the button will say. This may say, “Complete Survey” if you’re eliciting a candidate satisfaction survey completion or “Learn More” if you’re sending candidates to your company’s About Us page, for example.
Every field with a star is mandatory to fill out before you can add a CTA button.
Once the fields are complete, click Add and the button will be added to your email copy.
