The Customer Success team at ConveyIQ is more excited than ever about the release of our new candidate communication platform. Over the past few months, we’ve worked closely with a number of very brave customers to conduct a beta program. This was our chance to refine the product with tons of valuable feedback, plus understand what it takes for a company to be successful with the tool. Here’s what we learned:
Clearly Identify Your Goals
Candidate communication looks different for every company. We found that it is evermore important to understand how your talent team will use and benefit from a tool that would allow you to manage and drive your own content.
For some teams, driving automated communication based on whatever stage candidates sit within the applicant tracking system meant saving recruiters a bunch of time while still keeping candidates up to date. Other companies found using ConveyIQ for Communications was better for building an even higher touch process using time-based nurture campaigns.
Work with your team to outline how the new system will work for you.
Refine Recruiter Behavior
ConveyIQ is powered by a robust integration with your applicant tracking system. Think of your ATS as the system of record, and Convey as the platform where you manage and drive all content using that data. This means the ATS has to be kept up to date.
Often times we found that recruiters weren’t always managing candidates and statuses properly, leading to an untimely, misinformed candidate experience. ConveyIQ delivers better visibility into recruiter behavior, allowing talent leaders to better refine and correct broken processes.
Some companies found it’s best to designate a project lead specifically to manage recruiter behavior - ensuring the very best out of the candidate communication program. This is an important step to take before ultimately driving auto-communication to candidates based on recruiter action within the ATS.
No design skills? No problem!
We get it - recruiters are busy, and the idea of building an automated candidate communication system may seem like a mere pipe dream. The truth is, building a candidate communication program is super simple. ConveyIQ engineers put a lot of work into making the campaign management tool as easy as texting a picture or gif to your friend. Recruiters don’t need design or engineering skills, and not much time to make this work. All you’ll need is to understand what makes a good text message or email. Recruiters are already REALLY good at this :)
